Ringleader is a magnificent, tall, quiet, particularly easy to ride 7yo who has been beautifully schooled and looked after by the Le Hoang family.
Ringleader has spent his whole life below the radar mainly because he unexpectedly grew so tall and his owner/rider Charlotte is on the small side. Ringleader did in actual fact do an Official dressage competition in August 2011 with Heath Ryan in the saddle where he scored a magnificent 72.4% and won. Ringleader is desperately short of competition exposure however for some people this is a good thing in that there are no prior expectations.
Ringleader is schooling in a snaffle bridle and is extremely talented in all of the collected work. In the lead up to the auction Ringleader will again base with Heath Ryan and his very early tentative steps towards piaffe look very promising.
What Ringleader can do however is wonderful shoulder-in and half-pass, fabulous canter pirouettes and flying changes to die for. Ringleader does flying changes as a party trick and can do tempi-changes down to every second stride.
Through all of this he is very quiet and sensible and it is possible that by the auction he will show one-time changes. We have just been a little hesitant to start this because he is so comfortable with this work that we anticipate him enjoying the one-time changes and producing them everywhere. Which is not always as much fun as it sounds. What a fabulous opportunity!
